Private hospitals and clinics across the city are also filled with young pneumonia patients, indicating a widespread outbreak linked to harsh winter conditions.
Doctors have attributed the spike to prolonged exposure to cold weather and inadequate protective measures.
They have strongly advised parents to shield children from extreme cold, ensure proper clothing, maintain warm indoor environments, and seek immediate medical attention at the first signs of respiratory distress.
They warn that negligence could lead to severe complications, urging families to adopt strict preventive care as the cold spell continues to tighten its grip on the region.
