PIA signs MoU with Garuda Airlines to support exporters
PIA partners with Garuda Airlines to simplify cargo shipping, boosting Pakistani exports to Asia, Australia, and other global markets.
PIA – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – In a significant boost for Pakistani exporters, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Friday signed a special cargo agreement with Indonesia’s national carrier, Garuda.
Under this MoU, exporters from Pakistan can now easily ship their goods to Jakarta and other international destinations through connecting hubs in Jeddah and Kuala Lumpur.
The agreement, which will come into effect from January 2026, will remain in force until July 2027.
Pakistani exporters’ cargo will be transported to Jakarta and other international cities via Jeddah and Kuala Lumpur.
The agreement will also provide cargo facilities to Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok.
Pakistani products will have easier access to the markets of Shanghai, Guangzhou, Seoul and Australia.
Exporters and freight forwarders will be ensured of competitive rates and preferential cargo delivery.

The aim of the agreement is to increase Pakistan’s exports and facilitate and expand the air cargo business.
