India Announces Squad for Three-Match ODI Series Against New Zealand
This squad combines experience with young talent as India looks to continue its strong form in ODIs against New Zealand.
NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian squad for the upcoming three-match One Day International (ODI) series against New Zealand. Shubman Gill will lead the team as captain once again, while Shreyas Iyer has been named vice-captain, subject to fitness clearance. The first ODI is scheduled for January 11.
The 15-member squad sees the return of Mohammad Siraj, who replaces Hardik Pandya, who has been rested. Siraj last featured in an ODI during India’s tour of Australia. Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, and Mohammad Siraj have been included in place of Tilak Varma, Dhruv Jurel, and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

The full Indian squad for the series is as follows: Shubman Gill (Captain), Shreyas Iyer (Vice-Captain, fitness permitting), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul (Wicketkeeper), Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Siraj, Harshit Rana, Prasidh Krishna, Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant (Wicketkeeper), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Arshdeep Singh, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
