Pakistan, Iran Share Deep Historical, Cultural and Religious Bonds

Islamabad: Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghaddam has underlined the importance of further strengthening bilateral ties in all areas of mutual interest, particularly media, culture and people to people contacts.

He expressed these views while talking to Director General Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmed Shaikh during his visit to Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Islamabad.

The Iranian Ambassador said Pakistan and Iran are brotherly nations tied in strong shared bonds of history, culture and religion.

Lauding the diplomatic support extended by Pakistan during twelve-day Iran-Israel war in June this year, the Iranian Ambassador thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the government of Pakistan for showing solidarity with the government and people of Iran during the testing times.

He said the two countries have great potential to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of media and bilateral exchanges at high level. He suggested to tapping this potential for mutual benefit of both the nations.

The Ambassador invited the Director General Radio Pakistan to visit Iran to have mutual consultations for enhancing media collaboration between the two countries.
