ISLAMABAD: At least 10 people were killed and 10 others injured after unknown gunmen opened fire in South Africa. According to police, the incident occurred in the Bekkersdal township, located about 40 kilometers southwest of Johannesburg.

Police said the attackers carried out shootings at multiple locations, randomly targeting people on the streets. The incident spread fear and panic in the area, prompting authorities to increase security.

Officials stated that the motive behind the attack is still unknown, and investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. The injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals, where several are reported to be in critical condition.
