Dubai – Pakistan’s fast bowler Abdul Subhan is making headlines with his stellar performances in the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025, aiming to help Pakistan win the tournament and secure the Best Bowler title.
Subhan has taken seven wickets in two matches so far, including four against the UAE and three key wickets against India. Reflecting on his achievements, he said, “No matter who the opponent is, the goal is to win the tournament and claim the title of Best Bowler.”
During last year’s U19 Asia Cup in Dubai, Subhan had a remarkable run, taking 15 wickets, establishing himself as a crucial player for Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of pace, bounce, and maintaining line and length for a fast bowler, and cited Glenn McGrath as his role model.

Subhan’s efforts helped Pakistan secure a 70-run victory over the UAE in a must-win clash at the ICC Academy, ensuring the team’s place in the semi-finals. Chasing 242, the UAE were bowled out for 171, with Subhan taking four wickets for just 31 runs in 7.5 overs, leading Pakistan’s bowling attack.
With Pakistan’s advancement, all four semi-finalists have now been confirmed: Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Subhan’s continued form makes him a key player to watch as the tournament moves into the knockout stages.
