Punjab Urban Unit Directs Departments to Complete Compensation Payments Promptly

PESHAWAR: Thousands of teachers involved in conducting the socio-economic survey have received welcome news, as the government has approved a Rs4,000 compensation for duties performed on public holidays.

To ensure timely payments, the Punjab Urban Unit has formally issued letters to all relevant departments and authorities, directing them to complete the compensation process without further delay.
Teachers’ organisations have welcomed the decision, saying that providing compensation for additional duties is the legitimate right of teachers.

According to teachers’ unions, the move will not only help address teachers’ concerns but will also improve the overall quality and efficiency of the survey process.
