SNGPL Posts Second-Highest Profit in Company History, Approves 30% Dividend

A major operational highlight of the year was SNGPL’s continued progress in reducing Unaccounted-for-Gas (UFG).

Lahore — Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has reported the second-highest profit in its history for the financial year 2024–25, the company announced during its 61st Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore.

According to the audited financial results approved by shareholders, SNGPL posted a profit before tax of Rs. 24,446 million and a profit after tax of Rs. 14,592 million, translating into earnings per share (EPS) of Rs. 23.01. The shareholders also endorsed a final cash dividend of Rs. 3.00 per share (30%) for FY 2024–25, as recommended by the Board.

The AGM further approved the re-appointment of M/s A.F. Ferguson & Co., Chartered Accountants, as the company’s external auditors for FY 2025–26.

A major operational highlight of the year was SNGPL’s continued progress in reducing Unaccounted-for-Gas (UFG). The company reported a reduction in volumetric losses from 31,317 MMCF to 30,026 MMCF. This improvement was attributed to TBS-based micromanagement, stronger surveillance, targeted monitoring in high-risk zones, timely leakage detection and repairs, and ongoing upgrades to measurement systems.

The meeting also featured an interactive session with shareholders, where participants raised queries and offered feedback. Company officials responded comprehensively, ensuring participant satisfaction.

The session was chaired by Mr. Ismail Qureshi. Directors in attendance included Mr. Saadat Ali Khan, Ms. Faaria Rehman Salahuddin, and Mr. Ahmed Chinoy, along with Managing Director Mr. Amer Tufail, senior executives, and other members of the top management. Several directors joined via video link.
