Israeli Attacks Continue in Gaza Despite Ceasefire, Death Toll Exceeds 69,000

ISLAMABAD: Despite a declared ceasefire, Israeli airstrikes on Gaza have continued, with the death toll now surpassing 69,000 since October 8, 2023, according to Arab media reports.

Rescue teams are still searching through the rubble of destroyed buildings and other sites for the bodies of Palestinians trapped under debris.

Meanwhile, Israel has handed over the bodies of 15 more Palestinian prisoners to Palestinian authorities. In response, Hamas returned the body of another hostage to Israel. The number of hostage bodies remaining in Gaza now stands at five.

Israeli attacks are also ongoing in Lebanon, where three people have been killed in recent strikes.
