India Crushes Australia by 9 Wickets in Third ODI
Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave a solid start.
ISLAMABAD (Roshan Pakistan News) — India defeated Australia by 9 wickets in the third One Day International (ODI), securing a dominant victory after bowling out the visitors for 236 runs.
Batting first, Australia’s innings folded at 236, with Mitchell Marsh scoring 41, Travis Head 29, Matthew Short 30, and Matt Renshaw top-scoring with 56 runs.
Indian pacer Harshit Rana delivered an exceptional spell, taking 4 wickets for 39 runs. With this performance, his total wickets in the first eight ODIs reached 16 — equaling the record set by Ravichandran Ashwin.
Mohammad Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel took one wicket each, while Washington Sundar dismissed two batters.
At one stage, Australia were 183 for 3, but the Indian bowlers turned the game around by claiming the last seven wickets for just 53 runs. India was set an easy target of 237 runs.
In reply, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave a solid start. Gill scored 24 runs before being caught off Josh Hazlewood’s delivery. After his dismissal, Virat Kohli joined Sharma at the crease, and the pair led India to victory in style.

Rohit Sharma smashed 121 runs off boundaries that included 13 fours and 3 sixes, while Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 74 with 7 fours. Both batsmen stayed not out as India chased down the target comfortably.
Australia had won the first two ODIs of the series, but India’s emphatic win in the third match ended the series on a high note for the hosts.
