Arshad Nadeem Qualifies for World Athletics Championship Javelin Final
The javelin throw final at the World Athletics Championship is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
ISLAMABAD: National hero Arshad Nadeem has qualified for the final of the World Athletics Championship. In the qualifying round, Arshad threw a remarkable javelin at 85.28 meters, surpassing India’s Neeraj Chopra, who recorded a throw of 84.85 meters.
Arshad’s three attempts included throws of 76.99 meters, 74.17 meters, and a strong final throw of 85.28 meters, which secured his place in the final.
Meanwhile, India’s Neeraj Chopra also qualified for the final with his 84.85-meter throw. According to Indian media, German athlete Julian Weber made it to the final as well, with an impressive second attempt of 87.21 meters.
Other notable performances included India’s Rohit Yadav, who threw 77.81 meters, and Kenya’s Julius Yego, who qualified for the final with a throw of 85.96 meters.
