Asia Cup 2025: Sri Lanka Defeats Hong Kong by 4 Wickets in Dubai

Dubai – Sri Lanka continued their impressive run in the Asia Cup T20 Tournament 2025 with a solid 4-wicket victory over Hong Kong in the 8th match of the tournament, held at the Dubai International Stadium. This win marks Sri Lanka’s second consecutive triumph, placing them firmly at the top of Group B with four points from two games.

After winning the toss, Sri Lanka chose to bowl first, sending Hong Kong in to bat. Hong Kong put up a decent total of 149 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Nizakat Khan top-scored with 52 runs, while Anshy Rath added a valuable 48. For Sri Lanka, Dushmantha Chameera led the bowling attack effectively, picking up two wickets.

With this victory, Sri Lanka remains unbeaten in the tournament so far, while Hong Kong, having suffered their third consecutive loss, has been eliminated from the competition.
