Nawaz’s Hat-Trick Powers Pakistan to 75-Run Win Over Afghanistan in Tri-Nation T20 Final

Sharjah: In the final of the Tri-Nation T20 series held in Sharjah, Pakistan secured a commanding 75-run victory over Afghanistan, largely due to the devastating bowling performance of Mohammad Nawaz.

After winning the toss, Pakistan elected to bat first and posted a total of 141 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman contributed 27 runs, Mohammad Nawaz scored 25, while Salman Agha added 24 runs.

For Afghanistan, Rashid Khan took 3 wickets, with Noor Ahmad and Fazal Haq Farooqi picking up 2 wickets each.

Chasing a target of 142, Afghanistan struggled against the fierce Pakistani bowling attack and were bowled out for just 66 runs in 15.5 overs.

Mohammad Nawaz was the star of the match, completing a brilliant hat-trick and finishing with remarkable figures of 5 wickets for just 19 runs in 4 overs.

Apart from Nawaz, Sufiyan Muqeem and Mohammad Abrar took 2 wickets each, while Shaheen Afridi contributed with one wicket.

Pakistan’s dominant bowling performance led them to a well-deserved victory and clinch the Tri-Nation T20 series title.
