Rawalpindi: In response to the ongoing flood emergency in Pakistan, the United States, through its Army Central Command (US ARCENT), has extended vital humanitarian assistance to support flood-affected communities across the country.
As part of the relief effort, a total of six humanitarian flights carrying essential supplies have been scheduled to arrive in Pakistan. The aid includes tents, dewatering pumps, and generators—critical resources for displaced families and communities grappling with widespread waterlogging and infrastructure damage.
The first flight of this relief mission arrived today and was formally received by representatives from both nations. The US Chargé d’Affaires and the Commander of US ARCENT were present at the arrival ceremony and officially handed over the aid consignment to the Pakistan Army.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the relief goods will be transported to Army Flood Relief Camps for prompt distribution among the flood-affected population.
The Government and people of Pakistan have expressed their gratitude to the US Government and Military for their timely support and solidarity during this critical period. This gesture underscores the strong humanitarian and defense cooperation between the two nations and reflects a shared commitment to helping those in need.
