Court grants bail to Hassan Zahid in one case, orders surety bond

ISLAMABAD: Additional District and Sessions Judge Aamir Zia on Tuesday granted bail to accused Hassan Zahid in a harassment and blackmail case.

The court orders him to submit a surety bond of Rs 20,000.  The court also directed the accused to join the investigation.

The accused, however, is still in police custody on a five-day physical remand in another case at Shalimar Police Station.

Arguments on the accused Hassan Zahid’s pre-arrest bail application will be held on September 9.

The petitioner claimed before the court that he was innocent in the kidnapping case and that the harassment and blackmail case had been filed only to harass and pressure him.
