ISLAMABAD: Authorities in Islamabad have closed all hiking trails in the Margalla Hills indefinitely due to forecasts of heavy rainfall.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad issued a notification Monday announcing the closure, citing the decision as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety.
According to the notification, no citizen will be allowed access to any trail until further notice. The district administration also advised residents to avoid visiting hilly areas unnecessarily during the rainy spell.
