The tremors were felt in many cities, including the capital, Islamabad, and areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The sudden shaking caused worry, leading many people to quickly move outside to safe, open areas.

The quake measured 5.3 in strength and started deep in the ground under the Hindu Kush mountains. Because it was so deep, the shaking was spread over a wide area.

The good news is that no injuries or damage to buildings have been reported. Local officials are keeping a close watch and will share more news if needed.
