NEPRA To Decide On Reducing Your Electricity Costs Soon

Power companies request NEPRA to reduce electricity prices. Learn how this could lower your next electricity bill in Pakistan.

Islamabad – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk)- Residents across Pakistan may soon see some financial relief on their electricity bills. In a welcome move, power distribution companies have formally asked the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to lower the price of electricity.

The request is for the monthly fuel price adjustment for July. The proposal suggests a decrease of Rs. 1.69 per unit. NEPRA is scheduled to review this application in a hearing on August 28th.

If the regulator approves the request, the price cut will be applied to the electricity bills that consumers receive in the coming month. This potential reduction offers a glimmer of hope for many families struggling with the high cost of living.
