CDA Vows Timely Development, Crackdown on Illegal Constructions in Islamabad
The meeting decided to intensify action against illegal housing societies and unauthorized constructions.
ISLAMABAD: (News Desk): An important meeting was held at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) headquarters under the chairmanship of CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
The meeting discussed various matters, including development projects in Islamabad, environmental improvements, and enhancing facilities for citizens. The meeting was attended by CDA Member Admin and Estate Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafiz, and Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch.
Chairman CDA directed that all development projects be completed on time to ensure Islamabad’s further development and beautification while providing citizens with the best residential, recreational, and tourism related facilities.
The meeting discussed beautification projects to enhance the city’s aesthetics. Key locations across the city will see expanded landscaping and green zones. Additionally, plans to convert the CDA nursery into a “Gardenia Hub” were reviewed. This initiative will not only promote green spaces but also provide citizens with quality recreational areas, plants, and flowers.
A comprehensive strategy to improve the water supply system was also discussed. New measures will be introduced to ensure better water facilities for residents, including the rehabilitation of water supply lines and the conservation of underground water reserves.
The meeting emphasized the importance of an eco-friendly tree plantation campaign for environmental protection. It was informed that during this year’s plantation drive, CDA will prioritize planting trees in all parks and other areas of Islamabad where proper care can be ensured.
