Karachi(Special Correspondent/Web desk) A Karachi-based social worker has come up with a simple, eco-friendly way to make stormwater drain water reusable. By planting hydrophyte plants in the drains, the water is naturally filtered and cleaned, offering a low-cost and sustainable solution for the city.

Aman Khan Kakakhel shared that he has planted hydrophyte plants in a drain in North Nazimabad. He explained that the same method could also be used for the Malir and Lyari rivers to help purify their water.
He pointed out that these plants are not only good for cleaning water but are also environmentally friendly. They can help reduce heat in urban areas, making cities cooler and more pleasant.
