The legal dispute adds a new layer of complexity to the unfolding events surrounding Humaira Asghar’s final days.

Lahore – The landlord of late actress Humaira Asghar has shared his account of a years-long legal dispute over a rental property, providing new insights into the matter.

According to the landlord, Humaira Asghar initially rented the apartment in 2018 under a one-year agreement that expired in 2019. He claimed that after the lease ended, Humaira did not clarify whether she intended to renew the agreement and continued to occupy the premises without any formal contract.

The landlord alleged that he received multiple complaints from neighbors regarding Humaira’s alleged involvement in frequent arguments and disturbances. When asked to vacate the property, she reportedly refused.

“In 2021, we filed a legal case with the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC),” he said. “Official notices were sent to her addresses in both Lahore and Karachi, but there was no response.”

Despite a court ruling in their favor, the apartment was never vacated, according to the landlord. He also stated that the last rent payment was made in May 2024, suggesting several months of unpaid dues.
