India Seeks War Under Cover of Terror Allegations: Bilawal

Ex-foreign minister reiterates support for right to self-determination for Kashmiris

Islamabad-(Mudassar Iqbal)-Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman and former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari stated on Friday that India is pursuing a war agenda under the pretext of terrorist attacks.

In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, Bilawal warned that such an approach benefits neither Pakistan nor India, adding, “The threat of war between two nuclear-armed nations is now more serious than ever.”

He emphasized the need to move beyond past grievances, stating, “We cannot punish today’s generations for the mistakes of the past.” He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to countering terrorism in line with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) guidelines.

Bhutto-Zardari had reiterated support for the right to self-determination for Kashmiris in accordance with the UNSC resolutions.

The former foreign minister said that he could not remain silent on the human rights violation in India.

“India does not extend its cooperation in investigation. If India provides evidence, then we [Pakistan] will start an investigation,” Bhutto-Zardari said.
