India remains biggest state sponsor of terrorism in region: Field Marshal

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed that Pakistan has never accepted Indian hegemony in the past and will never do so in the future. He emphasized that the Pakistan Army is the guarantor of regional peace and stability, while the civil bureaucracy plays a vital role in state governance.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir held an interactive session with the probationary officers of the 52nd Common Training Program at the Army Auditorium. During the session, the Army Chief stressed the importance of institutional harmony, national unity, and the pivotal role of civil-military cooperation in the country’s progress.

The officers had the opportunity to observe Pakistan Army operations in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan, gaining valuable first-hand experience. They appreciated the leadership vision of the Field Marshal and the army’s multifaceted role in national security and development.

Speaking on internal and external challenges, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to meet modern warfare requirements and safeguard the nation’s interests. “Pakistan has never bowed to Indian dominance and never will. Terrorism is India’s internal problem, rooted in its discriminatory policies against its own minorities. India remains the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the region,” he added.

The Army Chief underscored that Pakistan seeks peaceful and cooperative relations with Afghanistan and urged the Afghan interim administration not to allow Indian-backed terrorist proxies such as ‘Fitna-e-Hindustan’ and ‘Fitna-e-Khawarij’ to operate from Afghan soil.
