Ishaq Dar to Lead Pakistan Delegation at 12th Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission in Abu Dhabi

12th Pakistan-UAE JMC to Explore New Avenues in Trade, Investment, and Energy Cooperation

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, will lead the country’s delegation to the 12th session of the Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC), scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi on June 24, 2025. The announcement was made via a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The JMC is the highest institutionalised platform for bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, and the upcoming session aims to further deepen strategic, economic, and developmental ties between the two nations.

Pakistan’s delegation, under the leadership of Senator Ishaq Dar, will include secretaries and senior officials from key ministries such as Economic Affairs, Commerce, Energy, Maritime Affairs, and Interior. The UAE delegation will be headed by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with senior representatives from major Emirati institutions.

The 12th JMC session will assess progress in existing bilateral cooperation and discuss new opportunities in sectors including trade, investment, energy, infrastructure development, and information technology. Several legal instruments are expected to be finalised during the talks to institutionalise collaboration across key sectors.

The high-level meeting will also provide an opportunity for both sides to align their economic priorities, strengthen people-to-people ties, and unlock the potential of a more robust and mutually beneficial partnership.

The JMC reflects the commitment of both Pakistan and the UAE to advance their long-standing fraternal relationship into a forward-looking economic and strategic alliance.
