PCB Announces Five-Match T20 Series Against Bangladesh; Faisalabad to Host After 17 Years

Originally, the tour included three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20s.

Lahore— The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the schedule for the upcoming T20 international series against Bangladesh, featuring five matches and marking the return of international cricket to Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium after a 17-year hiatus.

According to the schedule released by the PCB, the first two T20 matches will be held in Faisalabad on May 25 and 27, 2025. The remaining three fixtures are set to take place in Lahore on May 30, June 1, and June 3.

Originally, the tour included three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20s. However, keeping in view preparations for the T20 World Cup, both cricket boards mutually decided to convert the ODIs into T20 matches, resulting in a five-match series instead.

The series is seen as a crucial preparation opportunity for both Pakistan and Bangladesh ahead of global T20 tournaments. It also marks a historic moment for Faisalabad, as it welcomes back top-tier international cricket for the first time since 2008.
