Main Accused in Imran Khan’s Attack Sentenced to Life Imprisonment

Gujranwala: In a significant development, the main accused involved in the attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has been sentenced to life imprisonment. The verdict was announced on Saturday by an anti-terrorism court in Gujranwala.
The accused, Naveed, was sentenced to life under two legal sections. The attack took place on November 3, 2022, when gunfire erupted suddenly at Allah Wala Chowk in Wazirabad, targeting the PTI long march container.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, along with several others, was injured during the attack, which occurred as part of PTI’s long march. The sentencing of the main accused marks a significant step in the legal proceedings surrounding the attack.
