TTP Commander Killed, Policeman Martyred in KPK Clashes

Police, CTD Kill Attacker and Destroy Militants' Hideouts in KPK

KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA: A series of clashes between security forces and militants in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa resulted in the death of a banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander and a police officer, while another terrorist was also killed.

In Hangu, a firefight between security forces and militants led to the death of TTP commander Saeed, while his accomplice managed to escape.

Meanwhile, in South Waziristan’s Tora Gola area, a police officer was martyred in a shooting incident. According to the District Police Officer (DPO), the martyred officer, Imran, was stationed at the Police Lines in Wana.

In Tank, militants launched an attack on a police checkpoint near the Durand Line Gate, but the assailants were forced to flee after retaliatory fire from the police.

Additionally, in Dera Ismail Khan’s Ratta Kalachi area, a joint operation by the police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) resulted in the death of one attacker. In Kurram, the police and CTD also destroyed militants’ hideouts in the Bahadur Khel mountain range.

These incidents highlight the ongoing security challenges faced by the region as security forces continue to combat militant activity.
