Fidelity Insurance National Juniors Tennis Championship Concludes in Karachi

Karachi – The Fidelity Insurance National Juniors Tennis Championship came to a successful close at the Modern Club Karachi, with Muhammad Khalid Rehmani, Vice President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, serving as the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Other distinguished guests included Mr. Pasha, Mr. Zafar Hasan, and Qazi Ayazuddin.

The tournament, which featured a series of thrilling finals, showcased the skills and determination of young tennis players from across the country. Highlights from the championship included:

  • Boys Under 10 Singles: Muhammad Azan Imran emerged as the winner, defeating Abdullah Ali 4-2, 4-0.
  • Boys Under 12 Singles: Muhammad Aayan from Lahore triumphed over Muhammad Muaz, also from Lahore, with a score of 6-4, 6-4.
  • Girls Under 12 Singles: Eman Shahbaz of Lahore dominated the final, winning 4-0, 4-0 against Haya Yousaf Qureshi.
  • Boys Under 14 Singles: Muhammad Junaid Khan of KP made an impressive comeback, overcoming Muhammad Muaz 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.
  • Girls Under 14 Singles: Romaisa Tanveer of Punnon Aqil secured a 4-2, 4-2 win against Rania Bus.
  • Boys Under 18 Singles: Muhammad Salar of Islamabad defeated Asad Zaman of Lahore 7-5, 6-2.
  • Girls Under 18 Singles: Romaisa Tanveer claimed her second title of the tournament, winning 6-4, 5-7, (10-3) against Eschelle Asif.
  • Men’s Singles: Hasheesh Kumar claimed victory over Kashan Tariq, winning 8-3.

In the doubles categories:

  • Boys Under 12 Doubles: Muhammad Muaz and Muhammad Aayan teamed up to defeat Muhammad Ibraheem Hussain Gill and his partner 4-0, 4-1.
  • Boys Under 14 Doubles: Muhammad Junaid Khan and Waqas Janas cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Muhammad Rayan Khan and Tariq Rafi.
  • Boys Under 18 Doubles: Muhammad Salar and Asad Zaman triumphed over Ruhab Faisal and Ismail Aftab, winning 6-4, 7-6(4).

The Pakistan Tennis Federation congratulated all winners and participants for their remarkable performances, highlighting the bright future of tennis in Pakistan.
