PCB Chairman Lauds Workers for Completing Gaddafi Stadium in 117 Days

LAHORE:  Lahore’s newly reconstructed Gaddafi Stadium is set to host its grand inauguration ceremony on February 7, promising a vibrant celebration for all attendees. The event will feature live performances by popular artists Ali Zafar, Arif Lohar, and Aima Baig, along with a spectacular display of drums, fireworks, and a dazzling light show, marking a memorable occasion for sports fans and the general public.

In a bid to make the event accessible to all, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that entry to the ceremony will be free. The occasion will not only highlight the stadium’s new look but also celebrate the hard work and determination that went into its reconstruction.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised the dedication of the workers who completed the state-of-the-art facility in an astonishing 117 days. “I thank the workers who made the impossible task possible. Despite criticism, the entire team worked tirelessly, and Allah Almighty made our path easy,” Naqvi remarked.

He also expressed his gratitude and humility, saying, “I am prostrate before Allah Almighty on the completion of this significant task,” emphasizing the collaborative effort behind the project’s success.
