Fazlur Rehman Claims No Govt Exists in KP, Vows to End Usury System by 2028
CHARSADDA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, in a statement on Saturday, asserted that there is no functioning government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Speaking at an event in Charsadda, Rehman criticized the current assemblies, saying, “There is no status of the incumbent assemblies. I can form such assemblies myself with mud.” He expressed uncertainty about who is currently ruling the province and the center.
Rehman also voiced concerns about the political situation, stating that elections under the current circumstances were unacceptable. He referred to the 26th constitutional amendment, saying that if passed, it would have rendered the parliament ineffective. He emphasized that JUI-F members played a pivotal role in opposing the amendment.
