25 individuals involved in the attacks on 9 May had been convicted, Tarar said.

LAHORE: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated that 25 individuals involved in the 9 May incidents have been sentenced, but the mastermind behind the events must also face justice. Addressing a public gathering, Tarar emphasized that the government does not forget those who have helped, and their contributions will be remembered for a lifetime.

Tarar also assured the public that the government is aware of their challenges, stating that daily reports are received regarding the nation’s issues. He mentioned that inflation is decreasing, while the country is seeing record investments worth billions of dollars. Pakistan’s exports and foreign exchange reserves are rising, and government policies are benefiting investors and traders.

The Information Minister highlighted the achievements during former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s tenure in resolving public issues, asserting that under the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the same will happen again.

Commenting on the 9 May events, Tarar condemned the attacks on military installations, stating that these actions strengthened the enemy’s hand. He accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party of promoting a culture of violence and politics of hatred. He also pointed out that PTI’s founder faces multiple corruption charges, while the 9 May violence targeted military assets, which had never been attacked in such a manner before.

Tarar stated that 25 individuals involved in the attacks on 9 May had been convicted, but the mastermind behind these acts must also be held accountable. He added that such attacks on defense installations are unprecedented and must be condemned.
