Over 200 Saudi Companies to Visit Pakistan in February for Investment Opportunities
ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia, consisting of representatives from over 200 companies, is set to visit Pakistan in February 2025 to explore investment opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, minerals, energy, and leather. The announcement was made by Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Secretary Jamil Ahmed Qureshi in an exclusive interview with Samaa TV.
Qureshi expressed optimism about the growing economic collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the potential for further progress in bilateral investments. He also revealed that Chinese companies are expected to begin exporting products from Pakistan to the US and Europe by 2025, facilitated by a one-stop shop set up by SIFC offering access to special economic zones (SEZs) and export processing zones.
Additionally, Qureshi noted the increasing business-to-business investments from Chinese companies in various sectors, including textiles, under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He also mentioned a detailed presentation on CPEC Phase II to be given to the Prime Minister this week, with good news expected regarding the Main Line-1 (ML-1) railway project.
