BISP 8171 Portal Temporarily Restricts Payment Details
The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) 8171 web portal has recently introduced significant updates, leaving many beneficiaries uncertain about their Rs 10,500 payment eligibility.
Key Changes Introduced:
Payment status visibility: A major update is that beneficiaries can no longer see their payment status for the Rs 10,500. Previously, they could easily verify their eligibility and track the payment status.
Emphasis on dynamic registry: The portal now only displays the registration status of beneficiaries within the dynamic registry, without providing specific details about payments.
Temporary limited access: According to officials, this limited access to payment details is a temporary issue, with the portal expected to return to full functionality, including eligibility and payment status, within a week.
Temporary Changes to be Resolved:
These updates are part of efforts to enhance the accuracy of beneficiary records and address registration challenges. The verification process has already resulted in the addition of more than 100 new beneficiaries, although some individuals found ineligible may be removed.
Beneficiary Guidance:
For those unable to view payment details, BISP advises checking their registration status on the portal, waiting for the update, or visiting local BISP offices for support.
The organization has reassured beneficiaries that detailed payment information will soon be restored, and users are encouraged to revisit the portal after a week for updates.
