Intruder Cooks Meal, Leaves Creepy Note After Breaking Into Woman’s Home
A bizarre burglary case in Wales has led to a 22-month prison sentence for 36-year-old Damian Wojnilowicz.
Wojnilowicz broke into a woman’s house in Monmouthshire, not only rummaging through her possessions but also carrying out various household chores. He hung laundry, put away groceries, and even mopped the floor. The incident occurred on July 16.
When the homeowner returned, she found her belongings rearranged, a meal made with her groceries, and a disturbing note that read, “Don’t worry, be happy, eat up and scratch.” The unsettling experience left her so anxious that she stayed with a friend, fearing she might have been specifically targeted or followed.
Wojnilowicz was caught after a second burglary on July 29, where he used another man’s home to wash his clothes and relax in a hot tub. He admitted to both burglaries and was sentenced on Thursday.
Authorities continue to urge the public to remain vigilant regarding suspicious behavior in their communities.
