Supreme Court Cases De-listed as Justice Shah’ Absence
Cases Shifted to a Two-Member Bench After Last-Minute Changes

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah was absent from the Supreme Court today, leading to the removal of cases initially scheduled to be heard by the three-member bench he was to preside over.
His leave was reportedly due to the illness of a close family member. Consequently, the cases assigned to his bench, which included Justice Ayesha Malik and Justice Aqeel Abbasi, were taken off the docket.
The cases were then transferred to a two-member bench composed of Justices Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Ayesha Malik. However, after briefly convening in Courtroom 6, the two judges left without proceeding further.
Additionally, Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa convened a meeting of the Practice and Procedure Committee on Tuesday, which Justice Mansoor Ali Shah did not attend. The meeting included Chief Justice Isa and Justice Aminuddin Khan.
In response to Justice Shah’s absence, Chief Justice Isa formed a new bench to handle the interpretation of Article 63-A of the Constitution, replacing Justice Munib Akhtar with Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan in the five-member panel.
