CM Maryam Nawaz Fulfills Promise with Launch of Honahar Scholarship Program
The registration for the Honahar Scholarship Program has officially opened for university students across Punjab.
This program aims to award scholarships to 30,000 deserving students annually, covering 68 different fields of study. Its objective is to ensure that talented individuals have access to higher education.
Benefiting students from 50 public universities, 16 medical colleges, 131 graduate colleges, and even leading private universities, the program’s total scholarship funding is projected to reach Rs130 billion over the next eight years. An estimated 120,000 students are expected to receive financial assistance in the next four years.
At the program’s launch, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed her excitement about the initiative, stating that it will provide deserving and talented students with access to quality education, removing financial hurdles in their pursuit of higher learning. She emphasized that this launch marks the fulfillment of a key promise made in her first speech after taking office.
“The Honahar Scholarship Program is a significant achievement,” she said, adding that it will enable young Pakistanis to access top-tier education and future job opportunities. “I remain committed to empowering our youth and securing their future,” Maryam Nawaz affirmed.
