Islamabad-Federal Minister for Energy, Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, announced on Monday that the current government is making every effort to lower electricity tariffs and safeguard consumer rights.

Speaking to a private news channel, he said discussions are underway with power plant companies to offer relief to consumers.
