Pakistan Gold Prices Decline Significantly as Global Rates Increase
On Thursday, gold prices in Pakistan saw a notable decline, with the rate for one tola dropping by Rs2,200 to Rs261,500, despite an increase in international gold prices.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of gold also fell by Rs1,886, settling at Rs224,194.
Gold Price Per Tola Sees Slight Decrease in Pakistan
In contrast, the global gold market experienced a rise on Thursday, with international gold prices reaching $2,516 per ounce, including a $20 premium, and a $4 increase throughout the trading day, as per APGJSA reports.
Locally, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs2,950 per tola.
The variations in local gold prices are influenced by the fluctuations in the international market, as well as domestic factors like currency exchange rates and local demand.
