JUI (F) Chief reiterates call for fresh election to attain political stability

Fazal said the Majlis Shura has decided to increase interaction with the political parties

ISLAMABAD – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday reiterated his call for a reelection without any interference of the establishment.

He, while addressing a press conference, said only through a free and fair election will the country be able to tread the right path.

Talking about the negotiations, he said PTI had not announced the team to deliberate on the matter yet while it was also facing a crisis while adding that the JUI has serious reservations against the PTI.

The JUI chief said a political party would never refuse to solve the problem through negotiations and for that reason, it demanded a fair election so that the people would be able to express their opinion freely.

He added that through foreign interference, the situation of the Pak-Afghan border has become disturbing and it also raised a question on the effectiveness of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

He said the Majlis Shura has decided to increase interaction with the political parties so that the influence of apolitical forces would be reduced in the political spectrum.
