Islamabad – The second annual France Alumni Day, a global celebration of international graduates from French higher education institutions, is set to be held in May 2024. This event will take place worldwide, including in Pakistan, with various activities organized to honor alumni and foster professional connections.
The France Alumni Day program features numerous events and initiatives, with the main event hosted by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs in Paris on May 15, 2024, at the Quai d’Orsay. This prestigious gathering will include alumni from around the globe. Additionally, the program will involve various projects coordinated by academic institutions and alumni networks, as well as activities organized by French embassies, consulates, and Campus France offices worldwide. These activities include meetings, competitions, and seminars.
In Pakistan, several major French companies, such as L’Oréal, Schneider Electric, Total Energies, and Alstom, are actively seeking talented individuals ready to pursue global careers. These companies offer numerous opportunities for career growth through international mobility. The French education system, known for promoting values and skills such as multicultural adaptability, resilience, and a challenge-oriented mindset, produces graduates who are well-prepared for such roles.
The French Embassy in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Pakistan-French Business Alliance, Campus France Pakistan, and France Alumni Pakistan, will host three networking events for Pakistani alumni who have studied or received professional training in France. These events will take place in the following cities:
- Karachi: Monday, May 20, 2024
- Lahore: Wednesday, May 22, 2024
- Islamabad: Friday, May 24, 2024
Each event will begin with a welcome speech by a key representative: Mr. Nicolas Galey, Ambassador of France to Pakistan, in Islamabad; Mr. Alexis Chahtahtinsky, Consul General of France in Karachi; and Mr. Habib Anwar, Honorary Consul of France in Lahore.
The events will feature panel discussions with alumni and representatives from various companies, moderated by the Higher Education and Scientific Attaché of the French Embassy in Pakistan. The Head of the Economic Department of the French Embassy will also participate, sharing insights and expertise. These gatherings aim to highlight the career achievements of alumni and the significant role their French education has played in their professional journeys.

France Alumni Day was initiated by former Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Catherine Colonna, and is organized globally by Campus France. Since its inception in 2014, Campus France has been dedicated to developing and coordinating the France Alumni network, fostering connections and opportunities for graduates worldwide.
These events in Pakistan will not only celebrate the achievements of alumni but also strengthen the ties between France and Pakistan, promoting further educational and professional collaborations.
