Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rwp received Suggestion from Anjuman Tajran . During the master planning of Rawalpindi, the suggestions of traders should be taken into while talking to the delegation of Anjuman Tajran said that the business community and district administration have to join hands and take steps to provide relief to general public. He welcomed the proposals of the businessmen to establish law and order in the city and improve the business environment and directed the Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi to take special consideration of the businessmen’s suggestions during the master planning of Rawalpindi. He said that in the master planning, grain market, vegetable and fruit market, bus stand, truck stand and wholesale market will be shifted out of the city.
Commissioner Rawalpindi said that places should be identified for setting up public washrooms in the main markets of the city. Public washrooms should be constructed with the help of municipal corporation if place identified is in their jurisdiction while in private places, it cN be constructed though donations. Apart from this, to improve the sanitation situation, all the bazaars should identify their temporary collection point from where the garbage of the bazaar will be temporarily dumped and later shifted from there by a big vehicle.
Delay in the approval of commercial maps by some departments was highlighted by the traders, on which Commissioner Rawalpindi directed the Municipal Corporation to submit a report by this evening incorporating the details of the date of application submission and other necessary information. He directed that the de silting of all the drains of city should be started immediately so that water can be effectively managed before upcoming monsoon in order to prevent water from accumulating in houses and shops. Aamir Khattak said that relief can be provided to the people only with a good understanding is developed between local administration and traders. He directed to increase the supply of commodities to bring down the prices of essential items and monitor overcharging in their markets in such a way that the magistrates do not need to act there.
