CDA, MCI and ICT remained fully operational despite heavy rains in Isb

Islamabad: CDA, MCI and ICT remained fully operational despite heavy rains in Isb. Teams of CDA, MCI and ICT remained fully operational despite heavy rains in Islamabad on Friday and along with timely responding to the complaints of standing water due to rain in different areas of the city, the water accumulated on the highways was also cleared.

It should be noted that due to the heavy rain on Friday, the helpline established by the relevant departments of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), made it possible to resolve the complaints of water accumulation from different places in a timely manner so that the citizens don’t not face any kind of difficulties.

Apart from this, the joint teams of CDA, MCI and ICT were also active in CDA’s sectoral areas, non-sectoral areas including housing societies and other low-lying areas and if necessary, people were helped in draining water from low-lying areas including houses through dewatering pumps.

It should be noted that in view of the rains, the holidays of the relevant staff have also been cancelled. Similarly, the duties of the respective staff have been distributed at different times. While strict monitoring of low-lying areas is also being ensured.

Capital Development Authority  is a public benefit corporation responsible for providing municipal services in Islamabad Capital Territory. The CDA was established on 14 June 1960 by executive order entitled Pakistan Capital Regulation. As of 2016, most of CDA’s municipal services and departments have been transferred to the newly created Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation, although CDA is still in charge of estate management, project execution and sector developments.
