Gaza war imposed by global colonialists aims to erase Islam: Iranian envoy
Statement by Iranian Ambassador in Islamabad on International Quds Day – April 2024.
Islamabad: Reza Ameri, the Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, has stated that the recent operation initiated by global imperialism on the sacred land of Palestine aims to eradicate Islam.
In his address, he stated that we all know well that 75 years ago, an inhumane and non-Islamic project named Zionism was started by global imperialism to eradicate Islam, with the beginning of operations on the sacred land of Palestine. The founder of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Imam Khomeini, was among the initial individuals who correctly diagnosed that the treatment for this cancer lies only in the complete unity of the Islamic world. Hence, immediately after the success of the revolution in 1979, in the first month of Ramadan, he called upon Muslims worldwide to express their international solidarity with the people of Palestine on the last Friday of Ramadan.
He said that today, as millions of Muslims worldwide observe Quds Day, it is a result of this historical message. Over the past years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has organized various programs to confront this malignant regime, including Yom al-Quds. The truth is that throughout the existence of the Zionist regime, the United States has consistently supported them financially, politically, militarily, and through media manipulation, making it an equal partner in their crimes. As a result of this support, the Zionists have committed new atrocities in recent months, targeting journalists, children, and women, attacking medical teams, and preventing relief operations.
He further stated that despite their best efforts, the Zionists have failed in the face of the determined people of Gaza, leading them to seek revenge from supporters of resistance. Attacks on diplomatic missions and diplomatic efforts beyond their borders are the bitter fruits of the anger and frustration of this cursed tree.
He said that a few days ago, the Zionist regime targeted the Iranian embassy in Syria, violating all international laws and regulations, resulting in the martyrdom of seven Iranian military officials present in Syria to assist the people of Gaza and Palestine.
He said that scholars, intellectuals, and media personnel are expected to expose the genocide of the people of Gaza by the Israeli regime and reveal the faces of those who support, facilitate, and provide means to these criminals to the world.

He stated that it is a matter of joy that today people worldwide are becoming more aware of the nature of this evil regime, resulting in the heads of Zionist criminals becoming even more shameful in the court of human conscience. Undoubtedly, the efforts of the people and representatives of Pakistan in international societies in this awareness have been effective, and I myself must express gratitude on behalf of the government and people of this country for the unwavering support for the Palestinian people. May Allah Almighty grant all Muslims salvation from the evils of oppressors and occupiers and grant the liberation of Al-Quds soon. Amen, O Lord of the worlds!
