Security Forces foil terrorist attacks in Dera Ismail Khan & Turbat

TURBAT: In a series of swift and decisive actions, Pakistan’s security forces have successfully thwarted terrorist attempts to destabilize the country.
On 25th March 2024, security forces conducted a targeted operation in the Dera Ismail Khan District, targeting reported terrorist hideouts. Following an intense exchange of fire, four terrorists, including notorious figures such as Mustafa, Qismat Ullah, and Islam Ud Din, were neutralized. These terrorists were known for their involvement in multiple attacks against security forces and the senseless killing of innocent civilians. The operation also resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
The local community has lauded the security forces for their swift action in eliminating the terrorist threat. Sanitization operations are ongoing to ensure the complete eradication of any remaining terrorist elements in the area, reaffirming the security forces’ commitment to eradicating terrorism from the nation.
In a separate incident on the night of 25th/26th March 2024, terrorists attempted to launch an attack on Pakistan Naval Base, PNS Siddique, in Turbat. Thanks to the rapid and effective response by security personnel, the attack was swiftly repelled, ensuring the safety and security of naval assets and personnel.
The armed forces, supported by security units in the vicinity, launched a joint clearance operation, resulting in the elimination of all four terrorists involved in the attack. However, during the operation, Sepoy Noman Fareed of Frontier Corps Balochistan, displayed exceptional courage and bravery but tragically embraced martyrdom.

“We are determined to crush the scourge of terrorism,” stated Shahbaz Sharif.
He further expressed solidarity with the brave security forces, stating that the entire nation stands united with them. He extended his salute to the forces for their valorous efforts.
