Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar Haq, condemned the recent Indian Supreme Court decision on Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, calling it a continuation of the August 5th, 2019, annexation and declaring it unacceptable to the Kashmiri people.

In a crowded press conference at Jammu Kashmir House on Tuesday here in Islamabad, Haq addressed a gathering of Hurriyat leaders, stating their firm rejection of the Indian court’s verdict. He condemned the Indian government’s attempts to create a Gaza-like situation in Occupied Kashmir, warning that the Line of Control (LoC) would cease to exist if India continues its aggression. He highlighted the exhaustion of Kashmiri patience and their unwavering demand for self-determination.
Joining the Prime Minister at the conference were senior government officials, including Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmed Noor, Azhar Sadiq, Chaudhry Qasim Majeed, and Sardar Amjad Yusuf.
Haq expressed his concerns about the Indian government’s plan to divide Kashmir into smaller units and hold fake elections, emphasizing that such tactics would be met with strong resistance. He announced the development of a concrete action plan to counter the Indian government’s decision and vowed to mobilize all resources of Azad Kashmir towards the freedom movement.
Responding to questions, the Prime Minister confirmed that members of the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly who were not present in the recent session were also aligned with the movement. He reassured the public that all available resources would be directed towards the Azadi Kashmir movement.
He emphasized the need for unity and collective action, urging the government of Pakistan, political leaders of Azad Kashmir, and the Kashmiri diaspora to collaborate on a comprehensive strategy. He announced a meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan in Muzaffarabad within the next 48 hours to discuss concrete steps forward.
Haq addressed the recent allegations of corruption, stating that he had diligently guarded the public funds and overseen the expenditure of 24 billion rupees without any misuse. He expressed his determination to achieve the goal of self-determination for Kashmir under the leadership of the Hurriyat leaders.
He warned India against any attempt to repeat the history of Gaza in Kashmir, declaring that the LoC would not stand in the way of Kashmiri resistance. He stressed the need for immediate action and announced the convening of an all-party conference with nationalist leaders to reiterate the commitment to the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
Hurriyat leader Mahmood Ahmad Sagar also addressed the press conference, emphasizing the unwavering resolve of the Hurriyat leadership and the Kashmiri people. He emphasized the need to learn from past experiences and move forward with a united front. He highlighted the importance of ideological training for the new generation and the launch of a large-scale campaign in Azad Kashmir in support of the freedom movement.
Sagar condemned the Indian government’s construction of a high-security prison meant to incarcerate Kashmiri activists and reiterated the joint commitment of the Hurriyat and the Azad Kashmir government to combat any Indian aggression. He expressed confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Haq and assured the public that the Kashmiri people would never abandon their struggle for self-determination.
The press conference concluded with a reiteration of the Kashmiri people’s unwavering commitment to their right to self-determination and their determination to resist any Indian attempts to suppress their aspirations.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will attend the special session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s (AJK) legislative assembly to discuss the situation after the verdict of the Indian Supreme Court on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

This was decided in PM Kakar’s meeting with the prime minister of AJK Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq held here at the PM House.PM Kakar said Pakistan rejected the decision of India’s top court to uphold the Indian government’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). He said the J&K dispute, which was pending for the last seven decades, could only be settled in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

He said India had no right to go against international laws and take one-sided actions in the garb of the court decisions. He pointed out that India on August 5, 2019, illegally revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir aimed at changing the demographics of the valley. The prime minister vowed to continue extending political, diplomatic, and moral support to the people of Kashmir in line with their inalienable right to self-determination.

In a rebuke to the Indian Sup­reme Court’s decision to uphold the 2019 revocation of occ­upied Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on human rights and women empowerment, Mushaal Hussein Mullick has said that the decision is the biggest violation of human rights.
Addressing a seminar jointly organised by the International Islamic University (IIUI), and Parliamentary Commission for Human Rights titled “Freedom, Equality and Justice for All” at the varsity’s new campus on Tuesday, she said that violation of human rights in any region including Ghaza and Kashmir has raised concerns about the rights of civilians as use of forces to suppress movements of human freedom have sparked international debate.
SAPM further said that Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) is facing excessive use of force, arbitrary detentions and restrictions on freedom of expression. The conflict has been a longstanding issue that demands a sustainable solution.
Mr Justice Dr Muhammad Syed Anwer, Aalim Judge of Federal Shariat Court, Islamabad also addressed this occasion and said that International Islamic University Islamabad has played a pivotal role in establishing the forums to support human rights and this event commemorating human rights day is significantly arranged keeping given the present situation of human rights violation across the globe.
 He also elaborated on the concept of human rights in detail among the audience in the light of principles of Islam. Mr Justice Anwar congratulated the university administration for holding this gathering that is actively participated by students, faculty members and human rights activists to commemorate Human Rights Day at this venue.
Dr Muhammad Raheem Awan, Secretary, of the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan said that Palestine and Kashmir are facing violations of human rights, while the world doesn’t pay attention to their atrocities.
Prof. Dr Samina Malik, Rector, IIUI also expressed views on human rights and said that freedom, equality and justice for all are the founding pillars of civilized nations. She said educational institutions are the best source to promote awareness regarding human rights.
On this occasion, speakers of the seminar condemned unanimously the human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir. They demanded reversal of India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019; and implementation of the UN Security Council Resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir so that the Kashmiri people could achieve their inalienable right to self-determination.
It was also attended by renowned personalities of media, women rights activists and famous politicians, faculty members and a large number of male and female students.
