81-year-old US President Joe Biden lost memory?
American president further stated that the meeting with the French president was pleasant and occurred shortly.
Washington: US President Joe Biden has mistakenly referred to a deceased French president during his speech, resurrecting him 24 years after his passing and recalling a recent meeting with him.
A viral video circulating on social media shows Biden mentioning that he met former French President Francois Mitterrand during a public address as part of his election campaign.
The American president further stated that the meeting with the French president was pleasant and occurred shortly after his inauguration during the G7 summit.
It is worth noting that the mention of the French president by Biden is inaccurate, as Francois Mitterrand passed away in 1996, while Biden claims to have met him in 2021.
The reality is that President Biden actually met with the current French President Emmanuel Macron in 2021. However, he mistakenly referred to former French President Francois Mitterrand.

This is not the first time President Biden has made such errors in his speeches, as he has previously mixed up various leaders and countries, sometimes stumbling over his words.
It is speculated that such slips by President Biden are attributed to his age, as he is now 81 years old. Therefore, there is a segment advocating for providing Biden, who is serving his second presidential term, with opportunities for rest rather than seeking reelection.
