LAHORE: Authorities have uncovered a stash of unhygienic and hazardous meat stored in sacks at a cold storage facility, according to officials. One individual has been detained, and a formal case has been registered.
Salma Butt revealed that the tainted meat was allegedly being prepared for distribution to prominent supermarkets, food chains, and restaurants.
She further noted that the facility was found operating in unsanitary conditions, violating established food safety protocols.
Officials have assured the public that strict legal action will be taken against those putting consumer health at risk, with plans to intensify inspections throughout the province.
