8 Militants killed in North Waziristan, 2 identified as Afghan nationals

Defense experts say Afghan Taliban’s claims of peace are false

WAZIRISTAN: (Web Desk) – North Waziristan security forces successfully eliminated eight militants during an operation in Dattakhel on April 1, 2026, according to security sources.

Among the deceased, two were Afghan citizens whose identities have been confirmed by authorities.

The first militant has been identified as Amir Hamza Haqyar, son of Abdul Karim, and the second as Amir Abdul Rahim, son of Zaroli, from Paktia, Afghanistan, according to security sources.

The recent deadly incident in North Waziristan has exposed the Afghan Taliban regime’s false claims that they do not support terrorism in Pakistan, according to defense experts.

Experts say the Taliban are using peace talks as a cover to gain relief and buy time from Pakistan while pursuing their own commercial interests.

“There has been no change in the Taliban’s terrorist mindset. Anyone harboring illusions about peace negotiations is mistaken,” the experts warned.

They emphasized that operations under Ghazb-ul-Haq should continue with increased intensity and determination to counter the Taliban threat.
