60-Member International Delegation Arrives in Islamabad for Annual Overseas Convention

Sardar Zahoor Highlights Overseas Pakistanis’ Economic Role

Islamabad (Correspondent) – A high-profile 60-member international delegation has arrived in Islamabad to participate in the three-day Annual Overseas Convention, hosted by the federal government to honor overseas Pakistani business leaders and investors. The delegation is being led by Sardar Zahoor Iqbal Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Europe Business Forum and France-Pakistan Business Forum, along with Founding Chairman Haji Aslam.

Comprising traders, industrialists, and investors from Europe, Kenya, Japan, Dubai, the UK, and Saudi Arabia, the delegation will engage in discussions focused on boosting economic cooperation and exploring new investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Sardar Zahoor Iqbal Khan emphasized the vital role of overseas Pakistanis in overcoming the country’s economic challenges. Highlighting the rising demand for Pakistani products in Europe, particularly basmati rice, he noted that international interest in Pakistan’s markets is growing steadily.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening ties with France and other European nations in the fields of trade, culture, and education, aligning future initiatives with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s economic vision.

The convention is being hailed as a significant step toward deepening trade relations between Pakistan and its global diaspora, paving the way for joint ventures and innovative strategies for economic policy development.

Delegation members expressed their intention to expand investment and public outreach campaigns across Pakistan following the holy month of Ramadan. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Atta Tarar, along with other government representatives, welcomed the delegation and praised their commitment to supporting Pakistan’s economic progress.
