5.7 magnitude earthquake jolted in Pakistan

Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) Tremors of 5.7 magnitude jolted several parts of Pakistan.

According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, the depth of the earthquake was 187 kilometers while its magnitude was 5.7 on Richter scale.

As per details the epicenter of the earthquake was Hindukush region in Afghanistan. The tremors were felt in Islamabad, Mardan, Swat, Peshawar, Charsadda and other cities.

Furthermore people came out of their homes in panic reciting verses of the Holy Quran. The earthquake also jolted parts of neighboring Afghanistan. No loss of life and property was reported due to earthquake.
